How to clean your fully automatic coffee machine

Your machine will ask to be cleaned, usually after about 200 cups. The programme takes about 10 minutes.

  1. In the Maintenance menu, choose Clean, or press and hold the maintenance button.
  2. Empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container and put them back.
  3. Place one tablet where the machine indicates. This is usually the compartment or drawer for ground coffee.
  4. Place a bowl under the coffee spout.
  5. Let the programme run to the end.
  6. Then empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container once more.

Caffinity tip: If your machine has a removable brew group (e.g. Philips, Saeco), also rinse it under the tap every week, without washing-up liquid.
