How to descale your Jura

Your Jura tells you when descaling is needed and guides you through it on the display. Allow about 40 minutes.

  1. In the Maintenance menu, choose Descale.
  2. Empty the drip tray and the coffee grounds container. If you use a Claris filter, descaling is usually not needed: the machine will not ask for it.
  3. Dissolve the descaling tablets completely in water: for most Juras, 3 tablets in 0,5 litre. This takes a few minutes. Pour the solution into the empty water tank, unless your display asks for something else.
  4. Place a container under the coffee spout and under the milk or hot water spout.
  5. Follow the display until the programme has finished. Do not switch the machine off in between.
  6. Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.

Caffinity tip: With a Claris filter that you replace on time, you will hardly ever need to descale a Jura.
