Caffinity tip: Replace the filter on average every 2 months or after about 50 litres of water, or when your machine indicates it. Briefly rinse a new filter first.

How to fit your water filter

A water filter holds back limescale and taste-affecting substances. Replace it every 2 months or as soon as the machine asks for it.

  1. Immerse the new filter in cold water and let the air bubbles escape.
  2. Set the date dial or water hardness if your filter has one.
  3. Place the filter in the connection in the empty water tank until it is secure, and fill the tank with fresh water.
  4. In the menu, choose Insert water filter, so that the machine counts down to the replacement date.
  5. Let the machine flush about half a litre of water through and throw that water away.

Caffinity tip: Do not let the filter dry out: once it is in the tank, always keep water in it.
